Roughly a year ago I got my old SLR out of the attic, loaded it up with some film I had lying around, and took a badly focussed and oddly composed picture of a cat.
I’ve taken a lot of pictures since then, and I’ve learned a lot, I think, but recently it feels like I’m taking too many pictures. The number I’m keeping is going down, not up, and I’m not quite sure what to do about that.
I’ve also gotten massively better at post-production, but the pictures I really like barely need any. I need to be better at letting go of non-great pictures. Working on post is an empty path for me.
